The Western Australian Student Law Review welcomes submissions from students enrolled at the law schools of WA’s five universities: Curtin University, Edith Cowan University, Murdoch University, University of Notre Dame Australia and the University of Western Australia.
We publish original, thoughtful and well-written legal papers on topical and interesting issues of law. We will accept articles, case notes, book reviews and other legal commentary.
Formatting and Style
Submissions should :
for articles, be between 3,000 - 12,000 (longer submissions will be considered);
for case notes, be between 1,500 - 3,000 words;
be submitted in word (.doc) format);
include a title;
include an abstract of between 100 - 300 words;
not include a bibliography;
strictly comply with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (4th ed); and
not use 'ibid' or 'above n' - full citations must be used for ease of editing.
By submitting your work to the Western Australian Student Law Review, you warrant that:
your submission is your own original work;
your submission has not been published elsewhere;
you have not and will not submit the work for publication in another journal until notified of the outcome of your submission to the WASLR;
you have complied with the Australian Guide to Legal Citation (4th ed);
you agree to your work being edited by the editors of the WASLR; and
you agree to have your work, as edited, published in the WASLR.
